Fall is coming upon us........

Hey Everyone-

I hope that you all are well. We have been busy here in Tennessee. We survived our first "HOT" summer here and now it's finally starting to cool down. Believe it or not - I am actually looking forwarded to the weather change. (I am sure I will have a change of heart when December comes...Cold.) The kids have started back to school and I started a new job. Abbey is loving her new Fourth grade teacher Ms. Mitchell. I think this is going to be a great school year for her. They have been learning how to take notes and to be alittle more independent. Her best friend Presliegh is not in her class this year but they are right across the hall from each other. Abbey started soccer last month- her team name is the "Holy Terrors". (Does that fit her or what? Too funny!) She had her first game today the score was 4-1 we lost but Abbey had fun and that's what counts. Go Abbers! You are a soccer star just like your big sister.

Michael started the 6th grade this year and he is going to Lighthouse Christian Academy--he loves it! The class ratio's are small and all his teachers are awesome. This was the best choice for him because the Middle school that's in our district is horrible and had way too many problems. Michael has always loved school and we sure don't want this to stop. I can't believe he is in the 6th grade. He's getting so big.... He also started playing fall football. His first game was today too, he played corner back on the defense. Tackle football is alot different that flag ball. Check him out! His team name is the "Millington Trojans"--- Go BIG #88.

We are looking forwarded to my Mom coming out next month for a week. She has some friends in Texas who are driving up to Pennsylvania and they offered to drop my mom off here in Memphis since they will be traveling right through our town. I also have a couple of days in October as well so it's going to be a good visit. Johnna is still living the good life in "Hawaii". She is still teaching the three yr. olds at Pali View Baptist Preschool and only has one more class left on her CDA. She has been talking about joining the Air Force Reserves this up coming summer. It will help her to continue her education and give her alittle more money which is always helpful. She can take the summer off at her job so that she can do boot camp and training. We are so proud of you-Girl! Our friends Matt and Sara gave birth to baby "Miles" about three weeks ago. Sara's water broke two weeks early and out he came. Congratulations - you both will make awesome parents! I can honestly say that parenthood is filled with lots of love, joy, happiness, tears and sometimes frustration but it's the best job that we all will ever have.
